"The Original Socrates Café is a gathering where people from different backgrounds get together to discuss and exchange ideas on philosophical, existential questions and in the process they they gain a better understanding of human nature and a more inclusive world. It entails good discussions about enduring questions. Currently, there are well over 400 Socrates Cafes around the country. Yet one is cautioned to make a distinction between Socrates Cafe' which follow the original founder's vision and those which are no more than encounter groups at best. There are no prerequisites, and no reading or other preparation is required." SOCRATES CAFÉ at Lewes Library, in Lewes, DE. meets EVERY TUESDAY- 1:30 - 3:30 PM and is facilitated by Renato R. Bellu, PhD, who introduced Socrates Cafe' meetings to the Cape Area over two years ago. Forward this notice to any one who might be interested in participating in what has been called a significant intellectual event. For more information: SOCRATESDELAWARE@AOL.COM
