Ocean City

Beach Lights will begin Memorial Day weekend and run nightly through Labor Day from 9 pm to 11 pm. Special 3-minute displays at 9:00pm, 9:20pm, 9:40pm, 10:00pm, 10:20pm, 10:40pm, and 11:00pm. This lighting attraction features high-powered searchlights that accent the sky and surrounding area around N. Division Street and the Boardwalk. Searchlights move and sway, creating a dance of light to musical selections played through boardwalk speakers. The lights change into a variety of colors, bathing the surrounding beachscape and boardwalk in vibrant colors.

June 3 - September 23

Ocean City

Join the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce for the 40th Annual Sandcastle Contest on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Teams will express their artistic flair in the sand; past creations include a Sea Creatures, Funland rides, Pyramids, Dolphins, Olympic athletes and of course traditional sandcastles. The contest will again be held on the beach in front of Funland between Delaware and Laurel Avenues in Rehoboth Beach, DE RBDBCC Business Members are encouraged to compete in the business category -- represent your company in the sand! The winning business will receive a trophy and bragging rights for the entire year!

The 38th Annual Polkamotion by the Ocean held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. This four-day polka festival features some of the nation's top polka bands, authentic Polish food, and refreshments.

Ocean City

Sunfest kicks off Ocean City’s ‘Second Season’. Sunfest takes over the Inlet Lot and beach on Thursday-Sunday, September 20 -23. The town kicks off its “second season” with four days of music, food, arts, crafts and just plain fun. Admission to Sunfest is free. Earning the top spot for “traditional arts and craft shows in the nation,” Sunfest boasts over 180 crafters, along with exciting live music, hayrides on the beach and a wide and delicious offering of food. Opening day on Thursday, September 23 begins with a parade down the Boardwalk beginning at 9:30 a.m. at 12th St. and the Beach Plaza Hotel and ending at the festival grounds with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Daily hours are Thursday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Live entertainment plays throughout the event. All entertainment is free with the exception of evening headline shows. Tickets for headline shows, when available, can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
