Ocean City

Sunfest kicks off Ocean City’s ‘Second Season’. Sunfest takes over the Inlet Lot and beach on Thursday-Sunday, September 20 -23. The town kicks off its “second season” with four days of music, food, arts, crafts and just plain fun. Admission to Sunfest is free. Earning the top spot for “traditional arts and craft shows in the nation,” Sunfest boasts over 180 crafters, along with exciting live music, hayrides on the beach and a wide and delicious offering of food. Opening day on Thursday, September 23 begins with a parade down the Boardwalk beginning at 9:30 a.m. at 12th St. and the Beach Plaza Hotel and ending at the festival grounds with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Daily hours are Thursday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Live entertainment plays throughout the event. All entertainment is free with the exception of evening headline shows. Tickets for headline shows, when available, can be purchased through Ticketmaster. Fall in Lewes means the Fall Craft Fair brought to you by The Lewes Historical Society. The 2018 Fall Craft Fair is on Saturday, October 6, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Historic Campus at Second & Shipcarpenter Streets in downtown Lewes. Admission to the festival is $5 per person each day, to be paid at the gate; children under 12 are free. Proceeds from this event will benefit educational and preservation programs at The Lewes Historical Society. With its wealth of historical sites, museums, unique shops, restaurants and pristine beaches, Lewes is an exciting destination for craft buyers and visitors alike. The Historic Complex consists of numerous historic buildings that will be open to the public. These houses and museums, surrounded by shade-trees and gardens, provide a beautiful backdrop for the Craft Fair. Enjoy festive live music and delicious food. Over 4,000 visitors are expected to enjoy the Lewes Fall Craft Fair this year. The Lewes Fall Craft Fair is well known for the exceptional quality of the craftspeople, including new and returning artists from across Delmarva and the Eastern Shore. The Lewes Historical Society invites the public to celebrate the work of over 70 other talented artisans on Saturday, October 6th, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Lewes Historic Campus at 110 Shipcarpenter Street. Coast Day attendees can interact with researchers, tour ships, try hands-on activities, and attend presentations on a range of topics. Family-friendly activities include an event-wide treasure hunt for answers to questions about the environment and Coast Day exhibits. Children can meet sea-dwelling animals such as horseshoe crabs at the critter touch tanks. Everyone can enjoy live music, vendor displays, and seafood favorites showcased by local chefs at the Crab Cake Cook-Off and the Seafood Chowder Challenge.
