On May 9 at 5:30 p.m. Deny Howeth will be teaching a class at the Rehoboth Beach Museum. From beginning to end, you will learn how to transfer a picture image to a solid surface. Deny Howeth is photographer for the Cape Gazette newspaper. She will be using a vintage postcard image and an 11 inch piece of wood from the Boardwalk to help you create a piece of Rehoboth memorabilia to take home. When sections of the Boardwalk were replaced over the years not all of the wood removed were in bad condition. Pieces were salvaged and cut into 11-inch pieces, which the Museum was able to acquire. The fee for the class is $40.00, which includes craft material and the piece of Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. We are limiting the class size to 10 people so that everyone will have a chance to learn the process. In addition, as time allows you will create a smaller transfer piece using different materials. Space is limited so reservations are required and we cannot allow drop in students.. Please call (302) 227-7310 to insure your space. The program fee is $40.00 and covers cost of materials. The Museum is located at 511 Rehoboth Avenue. There is free parking and the museum is handicap accessible.

Join the staff at Banks Wines and Spirts at celebrating their new CROWLER system and the Self Service Ice Machine (located just outside the store) on Friday May 17, 2019 at 4:00pm. A CROWLER is 32 ounce aluminum can used to package craft beers and allow people to transport them home. Growlers became wildly popular because craft beer fans were looking for a way to bring their favorite brews home for later in the day or the week. Unfortunately, the seals on growlers occasionally lead to spills in your bag on your way back. That's not to mention the poor heartbroken souls who accidentally dropped a growler and watched it shatter upon the floor, spilling beer in every direction. By contrast, a crowler offers a tight seal that won't allow any air or sunlight in to your beer. It is also more resilient to bouncing around in your bag as you travel. Visit the store for a Sagamore Distillery Rye Whiskey tasting and a raffle for prizes!
