Voted as one of the most truly authentic local spots in North America by the travel website Travelocity, the Dogfish Head Brewery in Milton makes some of the country's most critically acclaimed craft beers. Any beer lover who pulls up a seat at a bar in Delaware is sure to have had at least one Dogfish in his or her time and if he or she isn't a fan, they know someone who is. So what would a visit to the shore be without a tour of the brewery that makes some of the best brews to wield on the East Coast?
The experience teaches visitors about the brewing process via guided tour through the working brewery, complete with samples of some of the company's current brews. The tours are always free to the public and are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3 p.m. They are also offered on Saturdays during the summer. The public is also welcome to stop by anytime from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to purchase beer and merchandise from their brewery store.
